A “excessive-altitude object” used to be shot down over Alaska earlier on Friday, the White Dwelling has stated.
Spokesman John Kirby stated the unmanned object used to be “the dimensions of a little automobile” and used to be over a moderately populated apartment on the time.
President Joe Biden took the resolution to shoot down the thing, which used to be of unknown origin, Mr Kirby stated.
It comes after the US shot down a Chinese language balloon over its territorial waters closing Saturday.
